and came to the Mid-Hudson Valley area of New York in
June 2005.
- I have worked and taught in
distance education and instructional
technology/design for over 10 years. Currently, I'm
the Director of the Teaching Learning Center at
Dutchess Community College and the campus Multimedia
Instructional Designer for the SUNY Learning
Network, State University of New York.
- I have taught introduction to
the computer, microcomputer applications, web
design, video production and survey courses, online
and on-campus, for over 10 years.
- I received my Masters of Arts
in Education, specializing in Instructional
Technology from the University of Akron. My B.A. is
in Business Administration from Hiram College. I
studied television production, briefly, at Lorain
County Community College.
- My research has been in the
use of technology in the classroom in relationship
with the learning styles of students with ADHD.
Currently, I am conducting a survey and researching
the future technology challenges in Distance
Learning. I also am researching the use of Web 2.0
and 3.0 technologies in education.
- Previously, I worked in
Broadcast News and Public/Government Access
Television. I also worked with k-12 educators and
the educational cable access channel. I've received
regional and national awards in local television
productions.
